The Lineage

Dominic Lacquaniti is the son of Rocco Lacquaniti — a master tailor who arrived in the United States in 1968 and opened his first shop in 1978. Dominic grew up beneath his father’s cutting table, surrounded by cloth, sleeping among the fabrics. The craft was never learned. It was absorbed.
“I learn a client’s likes and dislikes, and when I present a design, it is for them alone,” says Lacquaniti. A cup of coffee. A glass of wine. A real conversation before a single measurement is taken. That is how every commission begins.
We work with a small number of clients at a time. By introduction and appointment. The work speaks. That has always been enough.

Every commission begins privately. We take time to understand your wardrobe, your lifestyle, your proportions, and what the garment needs to do for you.

Cloth & Design
Fabric, trimmings, shape, proportion, and details are selected with purpose. Nothing is chosen randomly. Every decision has to serve the man wearing it.

Pattern & Fittings
An original pattern is drafted for you alone. The garment is fitted and refined through the making until the balance, comfort, and silhouette are right.

Completion
The finished piece should not feel like something new. It should feel like it always belonged to you.
